The host is Dr. Lilly Sanathanan, a statistician with a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Her career includes roles as a university professor, a director at the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, and an executive in the pharmaceutical industry. A Fellow of the American Statistical Association, she founded the clinical research organization ClinWorld and currently runs the statistics firm STATLINK. While the podcast began with a mission of cross-cultural discussion, it has recently pivoted to focus on metabolic health, often through the lens of the Healthwiz app, which her company co-developed.
